๐ Major Chicago Exits: Tegus and Tempus
The Chicago ecosystem is celebrating two major wins from this past week:

Tempus IPO
Tempus AI raised $410m in its IPO, valuing the company at nearly $6.2B. They sold 11.1m Class A common shares at $37 each. The company is now listed in the NASDAQ under the ticker $TEM.
Tempus generated $320.7m in revenue in 2022 and $531.8m in 2023.
Founder and CEO Eric Lefkofsky retains significant control, owning 39% of Tempus, with 65% of voting power.
Impact on Chicago's Tech Scene
Wins like this will continue to catalyze Chicago's flywheel effect, where early employees now have the opportunity to launch and invest in new companies, fueling a cycle of innovation and growth.
